Perturbation (biology), an alteration of the function of a biological system, induced by external or internal mechanisms.
If you take energy (anything) and stuff a vessel with that energy, and continue to stuff it...providing the vessel has no leak or drain or release... there will be perturbation.
The vessel will change shape.
From your current perspective, how much energy would it take to shift your vessel? What can you hold (handle)?
The universe knows what you can actually handle, even if you don't. If you ask for it, or invoke it, it will show up and whoop your ass. Odin will grab you in a headlock and invite all of the Gods and Goddesses of Mithgard to stand in line and in turn, give you a swift kick in the rump.

Probably because you deserve it. Probably because you are playing small. probably because God/Goddess...in whatever form you choose to experience IT, knows how magnificent you really are and IT wants to show you something.

a) somehow, you asked for it
b) somehow, you will grow from it
